Paul Barber is 43 years of age and was appointed Chief Executive Officer of the Vancouver Whitecaps Football Club in November 2009[1] and took up this appointment on 1 March 2010. He was previously Executive Director of Tottenham Hotspur Football Club of the Premier League and is a former Commercial Director and Director of Marketing and Communications for The Football Association in England.
Barber has spent more than a decade in football administration having previously held senior executive and Board level positions in a number of British companies including Barclays Bank, Inchcape, Abbey National and Royal & SunAlliance, and the US advertising and communications group Ogilvy & Mather, where he was Chief Executive for Europe, Middle East and Africa. He is also a non executive director of Tottenham Hotspur Football Club in England and of Rose Bowl plc, parent company of Hampshire County Cricket Club.
